Gutter End Caps

Example – Gutter End Cap for 150 quad

We have finally solved Gutter End caps, which once done was easier than we thought.

It all came down to making a face based element.

We have added these to the

“ARC BuildingElements Rooves 2016.rvt” farm,

which is located at

. . .\Dropbox\_ARC 2016\ARC 1.02 Farms\ARC Farms R2016

Your Dropbox should have loaded it by the time you see this notice.

We have only made it in R2016, as most of you have moved to R2016.  If not, maybe you should!

Gutter End Caps added here

These will be fully explained in the next Companion release.

In the meantime, to use them, Copy to Clipboard and Paste into your project while in a 3D view.  As you do this zoom into the gutter end and let Revit ‘attach’ it.  You’ll invariably have to press space bar until the cap is rotated properly.  Then go to an end on view (or use 3D in square on view) and position the cap.

If you pull the gutter with its blue dot, the cap moves with it.  Pretty good!

Asymmetric Roof  Cappings

Two sets of Asymmetric Cappings

Because we were asked by Jayne H to make some cappings to suit a roof with differing roof pitches, we ended up adding them to the Rooves farm.  These are examples for the moment, awaiting a full explanation in the Companion at next release.

In the meantime, to use them, you have to make new types of the profile, as well as the ‘fascia’.

If anyone needs to use them asap and is struggling, please ring.
